Preliminary assessment · Oil Man for Oil and Gas Fields Industries and Services L.L.C.

A fifty-five-year company with a 2016 website and a paper workshop. Here is the fix.

Mr Mohamed, this page is the full picture in one place: what we found on your website and in your public profile, an honest review of the business as it presents itself, a working new website, a working prototype of the Ekko operations system built around the Mussafah workshop, and the questions we need answered before we can quote. Every screen linked from here is live and clickable.

Executive summary

Three things, in order.

1 · A website that works, on one domain, with a padlock

Today oil-man.ae fails HTTPS outright and oilman.ae serves the same 2016 page. Both carry lorem ipsum. We consolidate on oilman.ae, redirect the hyphenated domain, and replace the page with the concept you can open above: six workshop services, a compliance calculator that turns visitors into booked jobs, and a job tracker.

2 · Ekko: the workshop, the office and the customer on one system

Job cards with a QC gate that physically stops a cylinder leaving Mussafah unchecked. Customer approvals as timestamped records, not phone calls. A certificates register that knows every asset's next due date. Invoices that go out the moment QC closes. Vans and technicians visible live.

3 · An AI crew that drafts, while your people approve

Five agents: parts buyer, QC warden, collections, dispatcher, compliance reminder. Each one drafts a purchase order, a reminder or a route and waits for a tap. Every action logged with the rule that triggered it.

What a customer sees today, and what an ADNOC buyer sees.

We read every page of both domains, the 12-page company profile PDF, the DNS, the hosting and the third-party listings. The findings below are all verifiable by opening the site.

Competitor rows reflect what their public sites show on 11 Sep 2026. None of the three publishes a customer certificate portal. That is the gap.

Business review

The business is stronger than its website says.

Fifty-five years on the oilfield, 100% UAE-owned, registered across the ADNOC group, a real workshop in Mussafah with refill, calibration and hydro test capability. That is a rare combination and it is invisible online. The review below is written from the outside, from the material Oil Man has published, and should be corrected by you where we have it wrong.

Strengths

  • Since 1971. Very few safety-service vendors in Abu Dhabi can say that.
  • 100% local ownership: a structural advantage under ADNOC's In-Country Value programme.
  • Own workshop: refill to 4,500 psi, calibration, hydro test, AQT, compressor parts. Competitors mostly resell.
  • Registered vendor across ADNOC group companies plus Borouge, Emirates Steel, Esnaad, Al Hosn.
  • Staff with up to 40 years' UAE experience.

Weaknesses

  • Invisible online. A buyer who googles the company finds a broken padlock and placeholder text.
  • Five divisions, from PPE to directional drilling to national security networks, dilute the story. The workshop is the real, defensible business.
  • Certificates, due dates and job history live in people's heads and paper files. If a supervisor leaves, the calendar leaves.
  • Approvals, invoices and parts orders are manual, so cash arrives late and parts run out mid-job.
  • Profile document is stale and partly copied.

Opportunities

  • Recurring compliance revenue: every detector, BA set, cylinder and compressor has a known next date. A register turns "wait for the call" into a booked calendar.
  • Customer portal as tender differentiator: no competitor in the set offers certificates and job tracking online.
  • WhatsApp-first B2B: site HSE officers already work on WhatsApp. Approvals and invoices should arrive there.
  • Mussafah as a regional hydro test and AQT hub for contractors who currently send cylinders to Dubai.
  • An Arabic site for a UAE-owned company selling to UAE entities.

Threats

  • ADNOC vendor rationalisation favours suppliers with digital records and ICV scores.
  • Dubai competitors with modern sites and accredited test stations are one search away for every Abu Dhabi buyer.
  • Key-person risk: the knowledge is in people, not in a system.
  • A tender reviewer finding copied text in the profile.

Positioning we recommend

Lead with the workshop. "The safety workshop behind Abu Dhabi's oilfields": calibration, breathing air, hydro test, parts. Keep drilling, process analysers and supply as divisions on the page, not as the headline. The new website is written this way. The five divisions stay; the order changes.

The offer

Three parts. Each one already built enough to click.

This is what we believe Oil Man needs, from the outside. Scope and commercials come after we have walked the workshop and confirmed the requirements below. Nothing here is a quotation.

  • The concept site you opened above, finished with your real photographs, names and numbers
  • oilman.ae consolidated on Cloudflare, oil-man.ae redirected permanently, HTTPS everywhere
  • Six service pages with turnaround and certificate, compliance calculator, job tracker, document library
  • Google Business Profile for both addresses, tappable phone and WhatsApp, Arabic version optional
  • New company profile PDF, rewritten, generated from the same content
Scope to confirmcontent, languages, photography, domain handover

  • Draft-and-approve by default; auto-send only where you switch it on
  • Full log of every action and the rule that triggered it
  • WhatsApp and email channels included

Ekko · what is in the prototype

Built on a system that already runs workshops. Not a mock-up.

Ekko is Cortix's multi-tenant operations platform: finance, inventory, procurement, billing, CRM, WhatsApp, HR and an AI gateway on one spine, with a workshop vertical already live for garages and job cards. Oil Man's version is that spine configured for a safety workshop. The prototype above shows every screen with realistic demo data. Open it, tick a QC item, try to dispatch a job without approval, consume a part and watch the purchase order get drafted.

Before we quote

What we need to count, in Mussafah.

A quotation written from the outside would be a guess. These are the numbers and documents that turn this assessment into a scoped offer. Most of them take one visit and one afternoon with the supervisor.

Workshop

  • Jobs per month by service: calibration, BA service, refill, AQT, hydro test, repairs, parts
  • The QC steps actually followed today for each service, and the forms they end in
  • Certificates issued per month and how they are numbered, stored and re-issued
  • Customer assets you already track: detectors, BA sets, cylinders, compressors, with last-known dates
  • Parts lines carried, the suppliers, and how reorders happen now

Office, customers, field

  • Users: technicians, drivers, supervisor, accounts, management
  • How quotes are approved today and how invoices are raised, sent and chased; VAT registration and TRN
  • Which customers would use a portal first, and what their HSE officers ask for most
  • Vans, drivers, typical runs, and whether sites like Ruwais and Shah have signal
  • Domain ownership for oilman.ae and oil-man.ae, email hosting, and who holds the registrar logins

Website

Photographs of the bench, the vans and the team; names and roles to publish; the client list as it should read today; whether an Arabic version is wanted; and the documents to host in the library.

Rollout

Eight weeks, workshop live in four.

Week 1Agree scope. Collect real photographs, staff names, the current customer and asset list. New website live on oilman.ae with HTTPS, old domain redirected. Google Business Profile claimed.
Weeks 2–3Ekko configured: six services, QC checklists written with the supervisor, parts list and minimums, suppliers, customers and assets loaded, VAT invoice template with your TRN.
Week 4Workshop go-live in Mussafah. Technicians on phones, supervisor on tablet, first jobs through the gate, first invoices out with certificates.
Week 6Customer portal opened to three anchor clients. Compliance reminders switched on for the register.
Week 8AI crew rules reviewed against four weeks of real data. Parts buyer, collections and dispatcher tuned. Arabic site if selected. Handover and review.
Next step

Thirty minutes in Mussafah, on the bench.

We would like to walk the workshop with your supervisor, watch one cylinder go from gate to certificate, and correct anything in this page we got wrong. Bring the last month's job sheets; we will show you what they look like inside Ekko before we leave. The quotation follows that visit, scoped on what we counted together.
